PIONEERING BRITISH LUXURY ETHICAL BRAND ...
... A VOICE FOR ANIMALS IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY
Isobel Davies, the founder of Izzy Lane, learned from an organic farmer that the fashion industry pays so little for English wool that the farmers burn their wool in protest. The amount didn't even cover the cost of the clipping.
A look into the "high street" showed her that the fashion industry produced almost no English wool at all. All luxury companies get their wool from Australia, where animal welfare is known not to be very important.
Therefore, she decided to found a fashion label in which only English wool is processed. As if that wasn't enough, she decided to make wool exclusively from animals that are not slaughtered.
Since then, Isobel has managed its own flock of sheep that were not bred but were rescued from the slaughterhouse by other flocks. So a sanctuary ...
The result is wonderful wool for knitting fine clothing and a fashion label that is now being presented on international fashion stages such as London, Berlin, Milan and Paris.
